Miciah Smith was born and raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania and has always been known to be a hardworking young man throughout the community. Miciah is a proud graduate of Norristown Area School District, where he always enjoyed a variety of sports, especially basketball.

 

Coming from a great family, Miciah is the oldest of five siblings and plays a leadership role and mentor to all.  He enjoys his new role of being an uncle while connecting and bonding with his family.

 

Mr. Smith consistently volunteers throughout the community and works hard while doing so. He started volunteering at the George Washington Carver Community Center about 3 years ago. His work ethic and dedication landed him a job with the GWCCC in 2024.

Miciah's goals are working and keeping busy. His athletic background in the football and basketball sports, where he displays being a dedicated and consistent athlete who is able to share his personal experiences with the youth that we serve regarding his challenges and goals working on Miciah assists with different recreational programs to encourage and motivate our youth, being that he also attended these same programs; when he was a child, some years back.

 

Miciah is a great young man who dedicates his time, even when he is off the clock, to engage and talk with our youth. He is able to build relationships with many being that he was once their age and understands when they are facing challenges and needs assistance with conversations or guidance. Miciah is able to bridge those gaps with challenging youth and encouraging them to make right choices.
